The Hampton Watermelon Festival puts on a mud run every June and man this thing is a blast. It always brings a great crowd of people and lots of fun for all ages.

They are a little strict with some of their rules but other than that it's a pretty cool event.
One of the problems I have with it is they don't allow grills and what not because they want to make all the money selling you over priced food and drinks.

To me, this is a place for some fun redneck turn loose mixing and they have turned it into a small time prison camp with all the "you can and can't do this and that."

Ease up a little Hampton...We just want to have a good time.
